Whether the child is Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual or Transgender youth, the process of coming out at school, especially grades K-12, must be well thought out. Some schools have a process, policies or guidelines while others do not. Listen to how Dr. McLaughlin helped one family with their child’s coming out at school.

Dr. McLaughlin has some very good suggestions for this delicate process of coming out to a child. For a parent to tell a young child that their older sibling is gay, requires a deliberate and well thought out plan.
